The fireman’s association is comprised of all of the Basil Joint Fire District firefighters. The association is separate from the Fire District Board. The firefighters elect officers for the association board. The association helps purchase items for the Fire District that are not always in the budget for the Fire District.

The association also supports the community in many different ways. Their major contribution is the Baltimore Festival. The association is one of three organizations in the community that comprise the Baltimore Festival Board. The association has been involved with the Festival since it beginning.
